Shape Up

Now that Thanksgiving is over, you may want some way to rid yourself of that extra turkey before the food onslaught that is Christmas begins. Fitness games have long tried to get gamers off the couch, with varying degrees of success. Will

Shape Up

I love exercise video games. They are one of the few kinds of video games that help the tarnished image of the video game industry. I am always excited to play and review an exercise game. They always last longer than anything else we review here at Family Friendly Gaming.

Huge LAG on this game makes it unenjoyable. Save your money.

I really wanted to love this game and use it as a way to get moving again. I bought a new Xbox One with Kinect just so I could play games like these that would utilize the Kinect technology to make movement games accurate and fun. This game had potential.

Crashes repeatedly

Tried free demo, which worked. So I bought the game for Xbox one, unfortunately the game repeatedly crashes during quests and quick play. I tried all of the suggested fixes on all the forums, but still crashes. Good idea, but it doesn't work.

Fun but won't push you to get in shape

This seems to be marketed as a fitness game for adults and while the workouts are pretty fun and do make you work somewhat the presentation is definitely more geared towards children.

Shape Up Xbox One review

Shape Up achieves its goal as a fun-loving fitness game that makes light of itself and gets your heart racing through mini-games rather than personal training workouts. Most of the activities are fun, and you never really feel like you're playing a fitness game while getting a decent beginner's...

+ Works in a small area; + The mini-games are mostly fun; + A decent livingroom workout

- Way too expensive; - Not enough content; - Yet there's DLC; - Xbox Fitness has better workouts

Great fun for all the family Can also use it as a fitness programme to get fit & lose weight rather than joining a gym Loads of variety of exercises and plans Very good game

Great job guys ! This game is perfect for people like me. Not into sports at all. Pretty lazy. Must have done 10 push ups my entire life. But I practiced Almost an hour this morning non stop !! I wasn't even thinking about doing exercice, just enjoying the moment.

Shape Up Review

Keep fit made fun

Workouts are fun and effective; Kinect body tracking is well-implemented; Bright; vibrant art style

Paid subscription required to create your own workouts; Online multiplayer is limited to friends only; Disappointing variety of workouts included on-disc
