Serge Lutens Nuit de Cellophane : Perfume Review

If Nuit de Cellophane arrived under a big perfume house label, I would probably not have smelled it more than a couple of times and forgotten it, but it is a testament to the pull of Serge Lutens' name that despite my initial disappointment, I kept revisiting it.

My wife loves it

At half the price another online retailer, I thought that this purchase would be some kind of knock off. However, according to my wife, it's the exact same fragrance as sold in department stores. Very pleased to save close to $70

Very uninspiring scent - not as expected from this designer

Luckily I had the chance to try this on before the package arrived and I could hence return it unopened at minimal expense. To me/on me this smells just like you'd smell after showering with a very basic, floral soap.

I had a very interesting testing experience of Serge Lutens NUIT DE CELLOPHANE because one of my two tester vials apparently was not properly sealed, so nearly all of the liquid had evaporated. What remained was a very thick, perfume oil-like elixir.
