You've probably heard of Sennheiser. Its headphones and earphones are everywhere from giant multi-brand electronics megastores to that chap selling budget in-ears by the side of the road.

Of course, the Momentums don't fold, and they come with a hard carrying case that I can just about fit my cat into. So they aren't as portable as Bowers & Wilkins' fold-em-up P3s , or any other hinged on-ears.

Fantastic sound with superior isolation; So compact, so comfortable; High price is actually reflected in the build quality - a rarity among style-minded consumer headphones; It wouldn't surprise me to see a photo of Steve McQueen wearing these, along with a Tag Heuer Monaco, a cashmere turtleneck...

I have been recording and mixing songs for 7 years. Having a Sennheiser is my dream. Now I got that chance to experience this product and I must say that I am fully satisfied with the quality of the sound. It is as if the sound was already set up for auto tuning even if it's not.

When we did the review of the H-K SoHo , we stated that it's probably one of the best sounding on-ear headphones in this category. However, some users might find it too small and classy for their taste and I, for one, can certainly attest to that.

The audiophile portion of Sennheiser's headphone business has grown steadily over the last few years, due in part to the fanatical attention that its full-size HD 800s and in-ear IE 800s have received.

These headphones are fantatstic quality for the price range - they contend directly with the new mobile on ear range from Bose and the rest of the on ear market - they win hands down! They arent just bass they have superb depth of sound and are balanced, lightweight but not tacky and cool design.

You get what you pay for: The $499 Sennheiser Momentum Wireless headphones are nearly perfect. The design is timeless, albeit a tad understated, and the rich audio with the spacious soundstage is trademark Sennheiser. I also appreciated the quick wireless setup and the intuitive controls.

Expensive

In-ear headphones are capable of awesome sound, but you might not be aware of that if you're used to hearing music through the cheap sets included with your smartphone. Even a slight step-up in headphone quality can nab you a set that can achieve ideal sound isolation from the outside world.

The Sennheiser Momentum on-ear headphones are accurate in delivering sound quality but it's not designed for long periods of usage. With a price tag of $230, it failed to live up to my expectations.
