Not wanting to throw away my old Mac Power PC I was looking for a cheap drive to keep it running. This worked great. After reformatting and instaling operational softwre my Power PC runs like a champ.

This HD is being used for one of my servers and works just great as it should.

The only way I can fault the barracuda is noise levels, when you're booting something up on this drive the moving mechanical parts will create noise. Maybe more so than it's rivals, but the great thing is, it is an affordable 7200 RPM HDD that is reliable.

This is an OEM product, so you get nothing but the Hard Drive, but then you should know what you're doing. If in doubt - Seven Forums or Tom's Hardware will help you install. The drive is very quiet, and straightforward to set up and partition.

Have used Seagate/Maxtor for 2 decades without any problems so I stick with this make. This disk is one from the latest Seagate range and represents good cash/bytes value. Post was quick and the disc was well packaged in a foam lined box with larger outer box.

I replaced a 250GB on a older PC and installed Windows 7 Professional 32 Bit and nice and quiet !! No errors at install, not that I ever see any with new drives but Seagate is what I think Top 5 hard drives?

The product is good and easy to install too.but there is a small complaint that with the hard disk the dealer should also provide the connecting cable

One thing i could not get the warranty for the procuct i purchased. When i entered the product details in the seagate website to the check the warranty period it was not showing any details in the warranty period. But when i purchased it was shown as 2 years warranty.
