Not wanting to throw away my old Mac Power PC I was looking for a cheap drive to keep it running. This worked great. After reformatting and instaling operational softwre my Power PC runs like a champ.

I don't think I'd buy a refurb to use as a primary but it's working fine as B/U.

Installed in a few minutes, partitioned, formatted and backed up my system SSD to it; Do the back up once a week and it works like a charm; Granted I don't use it as a primary but I took that into consideration when I purchased it.; Guess I'm just lucky based on the other 2 folks

Great way to add a hard disk. I really like this product.

The only way I can fault the barracuda is noise levels, when you're booting something up on this drive the moving mechanical parts will create noise. Maybe more so than it's rivals, but the great thing is, it is an affordable 7200 RPM HDD that is reliable.

This is most definately a good product. I have it mated to an Asus board with an AMD phenom Quad core 3400 processor. This drive takes advantage of that and the boot times and program load times are very fast. Would certainly recommend.

My experience with this hard drive is unique. I'm using it with a hard-disk audio recording system... the Alesis HD24. Alesis recently began shipping SATA caddys and this is the first I've used them... this drive is supported and has so far worked to expectation.

Have used Seagate/Maxtor for 2 decades without any problems so I stick with this make. This disk is one from the latest Seagate range and represents good cash/bytes value. Post was quick and the disc was well packaged in a foam lined box with larger outer box.

This is an OEM product, so you get nothing but the Hard Drive, but then you should know what you're doing. If in doubt - Seven Forums or Tom's Hardware will help you install. The drive is very quiet, and straightforward to set up and partition.

Received within 3 days after placing the order but the item turned out to be defective .. I've sent multiple emails to flipkart CS but they didn't responded back to my email queries .. Then I decided to contact them over the phone.
