We all know that Rare are a quality outfit. This looks like it's going to be an awful lot of fun. The cartoon style of the graphics looks very nice on the Xbox One X. It's preordered and I'm looking forward to it.

As someone who is currently playing the alpha I can't say much others than it's good. Really good.
Rare's swashbuckling adventure Sea of Thieves has finally hit the shores of PC and Xbox One allowing many of us to live out our childhood dreams of being a pirate. The long-anticipated nautical adventure has spent four years in development and sees players band together with a crew of equally...
PROS: +The graphics, characters and world are charming as hell. It's a fun and colorful sandbox. Reminds me of old Rare games like Banjo Kazooie and the Conker series. +Playing co-op is the way to play Sea of Thieves. I love the adventures and random things that can play out on any single voyage.
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me. We pillage plunder, we rifle and loot. Drink up me hearties, yo ho. We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot. Drink up me hearties, yo ho. I'm not sure this applies to me.
Feedback loops are important to games. It's the experience points that keep us playing. It's the gear that keeps us hunting. And it's the story that keeps us guessing. Although Sea of Thieves lacks these crucial elements in its design, U.K.
Backed by four years of development at esteemed UK studio, Rare, Sea of Thieves has been shaping up as one of Microsoft's most promising new franchises. Shipping wannabe pirates on daring adventures across the seas, it proposes unique ideas not only with the premise but also its approach to...
Unique gameplay you won't find elsewhere; A strong foundation for cooperative play; Dynamic sandbox means a surprise is always around the corner; A beautiful world to explore; Fun and humor are never punished
Questionable longevity; With limited launch offerings; the game's success is dependent on post-launch support; Lack of meaningful progression for many; Solo players will feel lonelier than ever
In its current state, Sea of Thieves comes off as a boring and meaningless. It's astonishing how void of content it actually is. Absolutely beautiful to look at but completely underdeveloped as a game. In comparison, Pirates!
Sea of Thieves is a multiplayer pirate adventure game, rich with unrealised potential that isn't worth your time in its current state.
Avast ye scurvy dogs!
Incredible attention to detail; You've never seen water like this in a game; Fantastic fun with a crew of friends
No progression; A little light on content
