60MB/s faster than 90MB/s on 7D

After reading some testimonials from numerous sources, I was convinced of the speed of the UDMA 7 cards on cameras such as my 7D. After testing however, I have found my 16GB UDMA 60MB/s to run slightly faster. Perhaps this is the difference with the 7D and perhaps a 5DIII.

The 1990's were a time of innovation. CERN laid out the plans for the World Wide Web, Intel launched its Pentium processor, Digital SLR cameras made their first appearance and a company still in its infancy laid out the specifications for the Compact Flash memory card, a company we now know as...

Big and Fast

Will I live long enough to fill up this 65 gb card? It is very fast and handles very large images quickly. Burst mode and video with my Canon are captured without any delays.

You never have to worry about your pictures being corrupted anymore!

If you shoot videos more than you shoot RAW photos like me, then you know/should know that having a faster memory card is a necessity. I was told before that as long as the card is Class 10, there shouldn't be a problem. I was badly misinformed.

Works as expected

Don't trust any electronics that regularly get hot with valueable data. as far as I'm concerned if its not saved in 2 locations (raid1) its not saved at all. If/when it fails i warned you.
Pros:
  • This thing is FAST
  • If you haven't moved to a(n) SSD then your spinny hard disk will be the bottleneck when moving large files
Cons:
  • It does get hot
  • but its lifetime warranty
