SanDisk Extreme 120GB Review

SanDisk are one of the more famous memory guys on the planet. Even if you had absolutely no interest in computers you'll be aware of their SD cards which are so ubiquitous it's not stretching it to think that probably everyone reading this has got at least one of their products in a camera or phone...

SanDisk Extreme 240GB Solid State Drive

TRIM Performance: While SSDs offer many benefits, there are some downsides to using flash memory. One of the biggest issues people run into is performance degradation. Over time, an SSD will run out of fresh blocks and will have to write over data the file system has marked as deleted.

Available in 120GB; 240GB and 480GB capacities; SandForce SF-2281 processor with DuraClass; DuraWrite and RAISE technologies; Excellent sequential read and write speeds; SATA 6Gb/s interface; Toggle Mode NAND flash; Supports TRIM; SMART and NCQ; Well constructed; Reasonably priced; 3 year warranty

Does not include a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter bracket; Not as fast when writing incompressible data

One of the best and most sensible upgrades available to most notebook users is to switch their existing hard drives with a fast Solid State Drive (SSD).

SanDisk Extreme SSD 240GB Review

SSD vendors that make one or more components of their drives tend to do better than those who just slap commodity parts on a board and call it a day. Sounds reasonable, right? SanDisk's Extreme SSD is yet another drive based on the LSI SandForce SF-2281 controller, a 6Gb/s SATA SSD controller with...

A fast; inexpensive; but fairly standard SF-2281 drive

SanDisk Extreme 240GB SSD Review

SanDisk may not be a household name within the SSD market but as one of the primary flash memory suppliers, their products have been used in countless storage products throughout the years.

; - Amazing Price to Performance Ratio; - Excellent Performance; - Low power requirements

; - Half the NAND ICs does seem to limit performance in some scenarios; - Left us craving even more; - No 2.5" to 3.5" adapter bracket included; - So cheap that there is zero reasons to not buy another SSD; even if you don't need one

excellent value product, however the price reflects the quality

SanDisk Extreme Solid State Drive available in 60GB, 120GB, 240GB & 480GB. After having a recent hard-disk failure on my laptop I began looking for a new one, the old was just short of 500gig so needed something of similar or higher capacity.

SanDisk Extreme 120GB SSD Review – Performance at a bargain price (11)

It's always nice to get something a little different to review, as it makes life interesting. The SanDisk Extreme SSD range is somewhat different from the usual run of the mill SSDs.

Silky smooth operation as a system drive; Excellent sequential reading performance; Very good sequential writing performance; Outstanding 4K random I/O performance at high queue depths; SATA 6Gbps support; TRIM support under Windows 7; Fast access times; Excellent price; Completely silent operation,...

Including a 3.5 inch to 2.5 inch drive converter bracket; would have been a nice addition
