Sandisk Extreme Pro 480GB Review

Kitguru says: One of the highest performance Solid State Drives that money can buy, backed up with a 10 year warranty.

10 year warranty; IOPS is strong; sequential performance; incompressible and compressible data

It isn't cheap by today's market pricing

SanDisk Extreme SSD 240GB Review

SSD vendors that make one or more components of their drives tend to do better than those who just slap commodity parts on a board and call it a day. Sounds reasonable, right? SanDisk's Extreme SSD is yet another drive based on the LSI SandForce SF-2281 controller, a 6Gb/s SATA SSD controller with...

A fast; inexpensive; but fairly standard SF-2281 drive

A fairly standard SF-2281 drive

Sandisk Extreme Pro SSD review

Sandisk is best known for its range of SD cards and USB flash drives, but the company also has a history of making solid-state drives (SSDs). However, the Sandisk Extreme Pro's specifications look very similar to its predecessor, the Extreme II .

excellent value product, however the price reflects the quality

SanDisk Extreme Solid State Drive available in 60GB, 120GB, 240GB & 480GB. After having a recent hard-disk failure on my laptop I began looking for a new one, the old was just short of 500gig so needed something of similar or higher capacity.

A fast, well-supported solid state drive that's a worthy upgrade for a laptop or desktop PC

SanDisk has such supreme confidence in its products that it's offering a 10-year warranty on its latest solid state drive, the Extreme Pro SSD. It's the first time such a long warranty has been offered on a consumer drive, and it's sure to be one of the main features that will entice many people to...

10-year warranty; Good overall performance; Improved random data performance

Not quite as fast as some other drives we've tested when used as a system drive

SanDisk Extreme Pro 480GB review

The SanDisk Extreme Pro is an update to last year's well-received Extreme II SSD . Priced at about £250 (around $390, AU$455) online, the Extreme Pro bears a few similarities, employing the same Marvell controller but with optimisations to the firmware for additional performance.

Pleased

The Windows Experience Index bumped the Sandisk up from 7.6 to 7.7 after I removed a 250 gig Mushkin SSD, which I put into a six year old

Fast; 10 year warranty; Good price

SanDisk Extreme Pro 480GB Solid State Drive Review

The SanDisk Extereme PRO 480GB was a pleasure to have on the test bench, though not very exciting. But don't get me wrong, this wasn't because the drive didn't deliver, because it did. It wasn't exciting because I couldn't rattle this drive in any way.

Sustained performance and speeds over the entire spectrum; Longest available warranty in this market segment with 10 years; 9 mm adapter bracket for laptop users; Only 0.15 watt power consumption on this model; Optimal cooling provided to all internal components

No native encryption features
