Great character design and massive replayability allow you to overlook the fact that the story is a bit subpar.

Excellent! No Problems!
Iv'e been a fan since the very first, and I have to say since that one, I was always disspointed in the ones after it, taking away all the extra gameplay modes, and decreasing the difficulty. there is no other game greater than the first in this series, due to the difficulty and nostalgia.
There are two types of hack-n-slash games out there in the market. There are the ones that are like Devil May Cry that mixes explosive action with intricat
Full of action; Multiple playable characters; Hours of gameplay
Slightly outdated graphics; Lacks innovation; Repetitive gameplay
Bought for my grandson, I asked him all the questions and overall he was very happy, he loves it
As is almost always the case with the series, Samurai Warriors 4-II is what it is for better or worse; another entry. There are a few series that get localized here in the west that are very polarizing- most don't "get" them, but those who do become diehard fans and supporters.
Positives Several additions that make it worth the upgrade from the original release; Can be fun in short bursts- extended game play sessions are not recommended
Negatives Not compelling in the slightest; Characters motivations and actions all bleed together until you don't even know why you're doing what you're doing Inconsistent graphics Another entry in the franchise that continues the unending, formulaic game play
About a year ago, I reviewed Samurai Warriors 4 . I'm not sure why they haven't called this new release Samurai Warriors 5 as it is more or less a different game, but instead it is called Samurai Warriors 4-II . Whatever it is called, it's still the latest in the Samurai Warriors series.
Warriors games have a distinct pattern, especially with the Dynasty and Samurai brands. You start with the original entry, which sets up everything with the character roster, locations and modes.
If you have ever gotten a kick out of the dynasty warriors series, you will feel at home with this one. If they never did anything for you, this wont change your mind. Lots of characters, new dash attacks, local co op.
This seems like a really good game. Never played a Samurai Warriors before alway played Dynasty Warriors. The only thing that lets it down for me is everything is spoken in Japanese. I find it hard to play the and read what everyone's saying at the same time.
