The Warriors franchise has a deserved reputation for being a button-masher. While many of the games have hidden depths you won't see without putting in some time, they're more of a new-age beat-'em-up than a technical fighter.

If you just want to lay back and wade through a sea of enemies and wreck them all this game is perfect. However, you're not completely immortal so the game can still keep you on your toes. I've racked up to the cap of 9999 combos. There's a lot of characters to choose from which is great.
I am a big fan of the Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors and Warriors Orochi series. Bought them all when they came out at release(own all the main series mentioned above, their Xtreme Legends and Empires, all the way back to Dynasty Warriors 2 on ps2). Sooo many hours of fun from these games.
Both a great action game and a really fun strategy game, 'Empires' might not appeal to most 'Warriors' fans, as the new elements can seem intimidating and almost jarring when put next to the combat, but for those who put the time in, there's a lot of complexity and fantastic ideas to be found here,...
The long running Japanese tactical hack 'n' slash franchise has a magical formula that keeps it exciting despite its repetitive nature by keeping the player on edge through what happens on the battlefield.
Are you ready for a return to Feudal Japan? Want to build your own castle, your own empire even? Well, Samurai Warriors 4: Empires is here to quench your thirst for conquest. This is the third game in Samurai Warriors 4 series.
I have reviewed a number of games in the Warriors franchise here on Gaming Nexus. I reviewed Warriors Orochi 3 and two of the One Piece , Warriors games . I have also played a ton of Hyrule Warriors and long story short, I really enjoy these games.
Samurai Warriors 4 on the PlayStation 4 screams next-gen as this franchise finally makes its way to the 21st century.
not a bad game but I am more of a fan of the Dynasty Warriors games instead!
There are not many games out there that let you carve, slice and totally eradicate hundreds of people in the space of mere minutes, if there are, they're usually titles that end with the word ‘warriors' and either deter a gamer, or excite their internecine fantasies.
Lengthy gameplay; Character design and fruitful combat system; So much to collect
No English voice over-Text box can distract mid battle; Not getting any sleep
