The Warriors franchise has a deserved reputation for being a button-masher. While many of the games have hidden depths you won't see without putting in some time, they're more of a new-age beat-'em-up than a technical fighter.

Samurai Warriors 4 is yet another solid entry in the long-running beat-em-up franchise. It offers a few new gameplay tweaks and a different narrative structure, but is largely the same old brawler you've seen countless times.

Dynasty Warriors 3 was my first bout with the Warriors series. At the time I was quite young, probably close to 8 years old or so. I played the game for hours on end and loved every second of it. As I grew older, I found the games lack innovation and every new entry seemed to be more disappointing.
