Who warmed these sandals?

Omega Force's prolific Dynasty Warriors and its various spinoffs will likely be familiar to most semi-serious gamers at this point. There's a ton of them on the market, and they all share similar gameplay that involves rampaging around a battlefield, mowing down hordes of insignificant enemies en...

Samurai Warriors 4 Empires Review

Samurai Warriors 4 Empires is what Omega Force should have released a long time ago. For years now, Musou games have become less and less intuitive, providing a dwindling impact with every new release

Refreshing inclusion of strategies; Fluid combat; Different variables to keep the game interesting

Genesis mode adds very little; Combat is repetitive; Fights can be overwhelming

PS4 Review - 'Samurai Warriors 4: Empires'

The Warriors franchise has a deserved reputation for being a button-masher. While many of the games have hidden depths you won't see without putting in some time, they're more of a new-age beat-'em-up than a technical fighter.

Samurai Warriors 4 Empires

As you might know, I've reviewed quite a few of the Warriors games now, including some of the Empires games. Overall, they are among my favorite games, and I am happy that the new Samurai Warriors 4 Empires is excellent as well. I can say that it is my favorite of the Empires that I have played.

Samurai Warriors 4: Empires

Both a great action game and a really fun strategy game, 'Empires' might not appeal to most 'Warriors' fans, as the new elements can seem intimidating and almost jarring when put next to the combat, but for those who put the time in, there's a lot of complexity and fantastic ideas to be found here,...

Samurai Warriors 4 Empires (PlayStation 4) Review

The long running Japanese tactical hack 'n' slash franchise has a magical formula that keeps it exciting despite its repetitive nature by keeping the player on edge through what happens on the battlefield.

Samurai Warriors 4

Samurai Warriors 4 is yet another solid entry in the long-running beat-em-up franchise. It offers a few new gameplay tweaks and a different narrative structure, but is largely the same old brawler you've seen countless times.

Samurai Warriors 4

With Samurai Warriors 4 , Omega Force's other established Musou series finally steps out of the shadow cast by their more revered Dynasty Warriors catalogue. At long last, the repetitive gameplay and stale storytelling that hampered previous installments is lessened as a result of several refined...

Samurai Warriors 4 Review – Finally Some New Changes to the Warriors Series

Dynasty Warriors 3 was my first bout with the Warriors series. At the time I was quite young, probably close to 8 years old or so. I played the game for hours on end and loved every second of it. As I grew older, I found the games lack innovation and every new entry seemed to be more disappointing.
