I purchased this online from Verizon. i set it up per the tiny set up paper that came with it. set up was smooth. but right off the bat i had issues getting my text messages and my battery was discharging when it was turned off.
I purchased this watch as I wanted the notifications, sleep pattern recorded. The notifications work great. Unfortunately it doesn't record sleep patterns at all, quite useless and something I hope Samsung fixes up this lack of recording as to me that is one very essential aspect of wearables that...
looks great in white.well made and fits well.
attractive design
Great phone, awesome tech; Great size and not too big
Phone is great, but service from supplier was very poor; Reserved and drove 45 mins to collect only to be told there was no stock
Nice product, but it's price to high, it's build quality is excellent, this product also with great features
While everyone else seems to be making me-too Android Wear watches, Samsung is taking a different smartwatch tack with the Gear S2. This wearable runs the company's Tizen software and offers a swiveling bezel to help you navigate around its unique UI.
Rotating bezel makes navigation easy; Strong reply capability for email; messages; Comfortable; water-resistant design; Colorful screen; easy to see outdoors; Wi-Fi connectivity
Limited app selection; Can't make calls
Android Wear currently rules the smartwatch roost, running on more devices than we could possibly list off the top of our heads. While that's a great thing for Google, it's not for consumers.
Plays nice with Android and iOS; Ingenious design enhanced by slick OS; Fitness tracking is a great positive
Aesthetically bland in some guises; Pricey for the average consumer; App support (on watch and phone) is dismal
With the Gear S2, Samsung has produced a really compelling alternative to the current crop of Android Wear smartwatches. In many ways the Gear S2 is the most appealing smartwatch we've yet seen but it has a few major issues.
Extremely well made; Intuitive interface; Rotating bezel ring for navigation; IP68 dust and waterproof rating; Excellent display
Connectivity issues; Limited Tizen apps
All in all, I've enjoyed reviewing the Samsung Gear S2 Classic smartwatch. I like the traditional classic watch look and feel because it isn't overly bulky and geeky looking. I also like the tactile rotating bezel which makes navigation quick and easy.
Traditional watch style with interchangeable bands; Rounds watch face; Built in heart rate sensor for activity tracking; Notifications; Can play music directly from the watch
At the time of this writing; the S2 is not compatible with the iPhone; At the time of this writing; Samsung Pay and Android Pay not yet available
