Considering it's taken months for the Samsung Gear Fit2 to finally cross the pond, it wasn't with the highest of expectations that I first slapped it on my wrist. Following two weeks of use, however, I've come away impressed. It's definitely the best fitness wearable Samsung has produced.
Great notification management; Vibrant display; Accurate distance and HRM tracking; Useful activity tracking and prompts
Lacking training insight; Spotty bodyweight exercise rep counting
Samsung's Gear Fit 2 beats Fitbit at its own game
Wide curved display shows stats; Heart rate tracking; Tons of fitness metrics; Notification support; 3 day battery life
Still too big for the small wristed; The interface is too dense; No iOS support -- yet
The Gear Fit 2 is one of the pricier options in the market, especially if you consider Fitbit Charge 2, or Fitbit Alta 2, Garmin VivoSmart 2, Misfit Shine 2, etc. I'm not impressed with the battery life, although I'd say this is better suited to those who like to do more than one activity for...
At £179, Samsung has hit the perfect price point for the Gear Fit2. It’s stocked full of tech, with GPS tracking really adding value to the original model’s otherwise comprehensive set of sensors. Factor in the sleek design, and this fitness tracker has everything you’d need, whether you’re a couch potato searching for motivation or a gym-dweller looking for more training discipline. But this impressive hardware feels wasted when there’s such a poor choice of apps to go with it. Sure, the basic software will mostly do the job, but it still feels like wasted potential. Saying that, there’s still plenty of time for Samsung to fill their store with content. And why should we be so obsessed with extra content when it does the bare essentials so well? If you just want a smart-looking fitness tracker to encourage you to finally fulfil your New Year’s Resolution, the Gear Fit2 has more than enough to get you over that hurdle. Heading in the right direction with GPS tracking; Activity tracking makes this smarter than the average Gear; Great value overall;
An app store devoid of life; Very little stamina;

Very disappointed--purchased two identical Gear Fit 2s for my daughter and me two weeks ago. I really want to love this product--it has a beautiful screen, personalization options, and is a great interface with my Samsung Galaxy S6 (messages and e-mails display perfectly and are easy to read, as...
Really like the fit and capability of this device, very nicely done Samsung.

I love this thing. After bad experiences with Fitbit and Jawbone I didn't have the highest of hopes for the Gear Fit 2. Thus far it has exceeded my expectations. Its fitness oriented features are top notch and it even throws in some smart watch features for good measure.
