Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 review: Splashing colors

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is the full-size member of the freshly announced tablet family by Samsung. Like its smaller sibling, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, the newcomer capitalizes on the world's only 10.5-inch Super AMOLED screen panel and aims to capture a spot at the top of the tablet hierarchy,...

10.5" WQXGA Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, The Wi-Fi-only version comes with Exynos Octa 5420 chipset; quad-core Cortex-A15 CPU plus quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU; Mali-T628 GPU, 3GB RAM, The LTE (Cat.4) version comes with Snapdragon 800, quad-core Krait 400 @ 2.3GHz; Adreno...

The available color schemes might not fit all tastes; Android still lags behind iOS in terms of tablet-optimized apps; GPU performance leaves a lot to be desired; No NFC

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5

The Tab S 10.5 is basically the bigger version of the S 8.4, which is more or less a bigger version of the S5 (minus some features like the heart rate sensor and the Extreme Power Saving mode).

Compact design; superb display and decent camera

The expected price, might be physically big for some and it lags a bit when switching between apps

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 review: Thin, light and very impressive

Summary: Samsung's copious software add-ons and UI tweaks mean that the Galaxy Tab S delivers a particular kind of Android experience. We have a few issues with some of these extras, but the slimline Galaxy Tab S is still a very impressive tablet.

Thin and light; Excellent screen; Good battery life; Reasonably priced LTE option

My Magazine feature can't be removed; Disappointing speakers; Lacks NFC

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 review

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is one of the firm's best ever tablets with a thin and light design, although there is still too much plastic. Hardware is decent, namely that impressive display and great battery life making this a consumption machine.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 , the company's latest flagship tablet in the Tab S range in India earlier this month. Actually, there is no shortage of Samsung tablets with a 10" display. The middle class is covered by the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1; more demanding users can fall back on the Galaxy TabPRO 10.1 or the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition with pen operation.

brilliant and high-resolution Super AMOLED display; extremely thin and light; but not fragile; good performance; current Android version with some useful Samsung apps; microSD card reader; infrared; access security using fingerprint sensor; LTE (optional

no microHDMI; GPU performance not as outstanding as CPU performance

When Samsung sets out to conquer a certain division, they go all out. For years now, their GALAXY S and Note smartphones have been the best-selling devices worldwide. It was only until the recent surge of competition from Chinese manufacturers did they slip a little.

Stunning display; Good battery life; Superbly thin and light; Powerful performance

Occasional UI lag; Same old design; Still a little plasticky; Price
