I'll quote my own words for this conclusion. The Samsung Galaxy S9 is nothing more than a transition model in anticipation of what hopefully can be a massive overhaul planned for 2019.

By now, anyone who has the faintest interest in the Galaxy S9 and S9+ would have caught a glimpse of Samsung's latest flagship or even got their hands on one after it was launched a fortnight ago.

It seems like every year we declare Samsung's flagships the best ever in their class. It's becoming repetitive, but it doesn't make it any less true – the Korean chaebol's newest flagships are the best to come out so far this year and their best ever.
