Samsung changed the smartphone industry last year with the introduction of the Galaxy S8. The world's first Infinity Display smartphone wowed consumers, making it one of the most popular Samsung flagships in recent times. That set a pretty high bar for the Korean company for this year's model.

By now, anyone who has the faintest interest in the Galaxy S9 and S9+ would have caught a glimpse of Samsung's latest flagship or even got their hands on one after it was launched a fortnight ago.

The Galaxy S9+ is undoubtedly an excellent phone and improves on the S8+ with its blazing-fast internals and variable aperture camera. However, as it's £100 more expensive than its predecessor, potential buyers might find themselves opting for last year's model instead.
