Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is now a LOT cheaper!

UPDATE: The S7 line might be two generations old, but the S7 Edge and regular S7 are still spectacularly good phones, especially as they now can be both found for around £355 and £300, respectively – for the money, you won't find a better-built phone that has a stunning rear-facing camera; they've...

Excellent camera quality; Impressive battery life; Beautiful build quality

Comparatively expensive versus flat variant

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge review

So that's the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. It's just as stunning as last year's S6 Edge and packs in some genuinely useful features to go with its Fancy Dan visage. Chief among these is a whopping great battery life that can withstand even the most demanding of smartphone users.

That gorgeous curved screen; Immense battery life; Incredibly powerful

Edge apps still mostly superfluous

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge review: this is the smartphone to beat

Latest high-end Android phone raises bar for screen, camera and speed, while bringing back such fan favourites as waterproofing, expandable storage and decent battery life

a phablet that is as easy to use as a 5in phone; fast; great screen; long battery; fast and wireless charging; brilliant camera; microSD card slot; waterproof; good fingerprint sensor

battery isn't removable; microSD card isn't used as adopted storage; won't get software updates as fast as Nexus devices; expensive

Great phone

I went from a Galaxy S4 (rooted, running Android 7.1.2, Lineage) which served me well for 4 to 5 years to the S7 Edge... This is what I call a real upgrade. Compared to the S4, the S7 is faster in all applications (from a restart to opening the camera, launching any app.

Great choice

Love everything about this phone. I had the S4 previously and thought it was great, but this is even better. Yeah, I'm one of 'those' where the phone seldom leaves my hand now. The bigger screen and the very high resolution are very nice features.

Samsung's best phone yet: the Galaxy S7 Edge reviewed

It might be hard to believe, but Samsung's flagship "Galaxy S" phones have hit the seventh iteration, and they're packing more than ever. Samsung's Galaxy S6 Edge on the left, followed by the Galaxy S7 Edge in the middle and the Galaxy S6 Edge+ on the right.

Great elegant design; Glass body makes the phone feel very high quality; Water-resistance is back; Performs very; very well for use; with pretty much zero lag; Expandable storage is back (yay!

Can be slippery; Fingerprint magnet; Always on-screen can't be customised all that much; Curved screen isn't always responsive due to how you hold it

Samsung Galaxy S7 EDGE review

The Edge version of the Samsung Galaxy S7 costs £70 more than the standard S7 but offers a larger screen - 5.5 inches instead of 5.1 inches. And of course, the screen is curved at the left and right edges, making the Galaxy S7 Edge the best-looking smartphone of 2016 in our view.

Samsung Galaxy S7 EDGE review

There's absolutely no doubt that the Galaxy S7 is just what it's supposed to be: a high-end device from one end to another that can compete against flagships built by other companies, including Apple.

Samsung Galaxy S7 EDGE review

In 2016, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge was the finest smartphone you could buy: the trouble was that, cosmetic differences aside, it was the same as the considerably cheaper vanilla Samsung Galaxy S7 .
