Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge review

The Galaxy S6 Edge fails to match the performance of its twin, the standard Galaxy S6

Elegant and premium build; Gorgeous display; Better camera features and performance; Much-improved fingerprint reader; Quick charging; Supports both wireless charging standards

Uncomfortable to hold; Curved screen offers no value; Worse battery life than standard S6; No longer waterproof; Non-removable battery; No memory expansion; Gets noticeably hot when pushed; Tinny speaker sound

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge review

Design is probably the most important factor to consider if you're thinking of buying the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. It's those curved edges that make it stand out and that make it so mind-bogglingly expensive. Samsung has purposefully created an object of desire, in part to prove that it can.

Unique design; Supreme performance; Stunning screen; Excellent camera

Monstrously huge price tag; Lack of functionality down the edges; Unimpressive battery life

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

When the Galaxy S6 and 6S Edge debuted in the Spring of 2015, they represented a dramatic departure for Samsung. Gone was the utilitarian plastic build of every Galaxy S past; in its place, glass and aluminum alloy, and, in the case of the S6 Edge, a uniquely curved screen.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge's wraparound screen transforms an already great phone into Samsung's best-looking handset; Ever

That supercool design comes with a big price tag, and the screen doesn't deliver any real killer apps; Like the regular S6, the Edge doesn't support swappable batteries or expandable storage

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

The S6 Edge is a fantastic looking handset with plenty of power and an impressive camera, but a high price, poor battery performance and sub-par edge screen features stop it from achieving perfection.

Premium; eye catching design; Fast; slick and powerful interface; Stunning camera

Very expensive; Disappointing battery life; Edge screen offers very little; No microSD or waterproofing

Samsung Galaxy S6 And S6 Edge

Since the release of the Galaxy S5, Samsung has been restyling itself to better compete in the current market. We've seen its new design-focused philosophy coalesce with each new product launch, culminating in the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge.

Fingerprint scanner; Performance; Photo quality (Sony sensor); Screen

No microSD support; Non-removable battery; Price; Rear camera lottery; Worse battery life than the S5 in heavy workloads

Samsung's Galaxy S6 Edge reviewed

Flat phones are so passé, it seems, with the Galaxy S6 Edge showing us a future of curved smartphone goodness. Is this a taste of the future, or merely a gimmick demanding top dollar

A design that looks totally different; because no one has curved screens like this; Curved screen is very cool; Built with premium materials; Great performance; Like the S6; an absolutely fantastic and bright screen; One of the best cameras in the business; Practically bloat-free version of Android,...

Battery could be better and isn't removable; No expandable memory; Water-resistance not part of the package; Curved screen doesn't really feel as useful as it did on the Note Edge; Expensive… very expensive

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and Gear VR Review and Giveaway

Don't buy either of these. The Galaxy S6 Edge does a lot of things right, but at the end of the day, it can't justify it's ridiculously high price. Likewise, the Gear VR is on the right track, but it doesn't have enough content right now to justify its $199 asking price.

Review: Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

Base model priced at Rs 62,000, the S6 Edge is undoubtedly an absurdly expensive phone. I personally don't buy any handset that costs more than Rs 30,000. However, if you have money to splurge, the S6 Edge gives you bragging rights of owning a unique phone with a futuristic screen.

Premium construction; Fancy Edge screen; AMOLED panel offers vibrant colours; Compact than most 5.1-inch phones; Excellent performance

Costs more than a bike; Edge screen isn't really useful; Battery life could have been better

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge review

The S6 Edge's gimmicky curved screen isn't enough to justify the price premium over the otherwise identical Galaxy S6

Exceptional camera; Fast performance and smooth responsiveness; Sturdy and attractive build

Curved screen feels like a novelty; So-so battery life; Expensive

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge - AT&T

S6 Edge+ and the Note 5, Samsung's Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge still deliver the kind of excellent performance its users enjoy, making this pick one of the best smartphones available.
