Impressive Design & Features!

I bought this little over a month ago and so far I am thrilled with this sleek and elegantly designed smartphone! I previously had the s3 which I was seriously attached to after thinking I would never leave the iPhone's side, but Samsung's latest releases are pleasing me entirely :) I love that the...

Samsung Galaxy S5 in-depth review - Samsung Galaxy S5 Review

A technological tour de force, the Galaxy S5 is Samsung's best smartphone to date.

Industry-leading performance; Gorgeous HD screen is best on the market; Fingerprint scanner works flawlessly; Excellent camera with huge range of features; Impressive battery life, and battery saving mode

Design feels dated with little change in two years; Rear cover and fake chrome bezel will not appear to everyone; Heart rate monitor seems to have little use

Samsung Galaxy S5

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is a great phone, and while it is not a huge re-imagining of the firm's flagship model, the tweaks and additions that Samsung has made make a huge difference.

Fantastic screen; smooth performance; latest version of Android; Touchwiz is huge improvement; great camera; good battery life; fingerprint scanner and heart rate monitor are worthwhile additions

Touchwiz can feel overbearing in places; lacks a premium feel; Nothing

Samsung Galaxy S5 review

Samsung aimed to take the enterprise by storm with its 2013 flagship smartphone the Galaxy S4 , claiming its Knox security software and added productivity features made it the most enterprise-friendly Android handset available.

Great performance; crystal-clear display; good camera; decent portfolio of security services

Touchwiz; average battery life

Samsung Galaxy S5 review: Samsung's best phone gets better

The Bottom Line Subtly improved and smartly refined, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is a superior superphone that hits every mark but the sharpest design.

The Good Samsung's Galaxy S5 excels at everything that matters -- Android 4.4 KitKat OS; a bright, beautiful display; blistering quad-core processor; and an excellent camera experience.

The Bad The Galaxy S5 is a only small upgrade over the Galaxy S4; The fingerprint scanner can be confusing to use, and the heart-rate monitor is a niche feature at best.

Samsung Galaxy S5 review

Big, bold and stuffed with tech, the Galaxy S5 is a bona fide superphone with some very stiff competition

plenty of power; sharp; vivid screen; detailed snapper; tons of features; waterproof

a design that few will find beautiful; UI can still be confusing; not the best camera indoors and in low light

Samsung Galaxy S5

When's the best time to buy a flagship phone? When it gets replaced by a new flagship phone, of course. Following on from the announcement of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge , the Samsung Galaxy S5 has been given a second wind, courtesy of an update to Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Fantastic screen; Still one of the best cameras around; Now updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop; Update has improved fingerprint sensor; Better battery life than S6; Has microSD and water resistance

Not the prettiest of 2014 phones; Processor still decent; but behind the times

Samsung Galaxy S5 review: Top-notch specs, less software bloat

Summary: Samsung has done a good job with the Galaxy S5. Software bloat has been pared down and a few useful new features added, while the technical specifications are superb and battery life is good.

Good battery life; Software bloat has been reduced; Nice usability features

Plastic chassis; Fingerprint scanner is tricky to use; Average-quality sound from speaker

Samsung Galaxy S5 – Review

Overall I grew to like the Galaxy S5, yes the overall quality isn't as good as some of the other flagships flying around at the moment. Yes the launcher and the home button do create quite a bit of lag opening up folders and returning to the home and yes it doesn't take the best shots in low light.

Great crisp vibrant colourful screen; In broad daylight the camera is really good; Memory card slot and removable battery make for a flexible device; Water and dust resistance IP67

The built in software is getting a bit much; Camera struggles in certain situations; The launcher is a bit laggy to launch folders and return home; Overall feel isn't as good as its flagship competitors; Rear speaker is little odd sounding at times

Samsung Galaxy S5 review

Samsung's jack-of-all-trades returns with an improved display, waterproof case & biometric scanners

Excellent display; Good battery life; Waterproof/dustproof; Decent camera; Download booster; Wealth of premium subscription trials

The heart-rate monitor is unnecessary; Fingerprint scanner is inconsistent; Software features can be overwhelming
