With the Galaxy Note 10 , Samsung has launched its hot smartphone for late summer with much aplomb. We went hands-on with the new Galaxy Note 10 this week, and one thing is clear: Samsung doesn't pull any punches this year, and the Note line is growing!

The big shift for this latest generation of Note is that there are now two discreet models, whereas previously there's only ever been one. The Galaxy Note 10 is the smaller entry here, while the Galaxy Note 10 Plus is the true follow-up to last year's Note 9 .

The Galaxy Note 10 is Samsung's easiest to use S Pen-toting phone yet, and while there may not be any game-changing features to make this a must-buy handset, it looks to be a solid addition to the Note range.

Now for the price, for the Galaxy Note 10 comes in a standard 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage and it will set you back at PHP 53,990 . That's a PHP 7,000 difference from the base Note 10+. So what are you missing

A lot has changed since Samsung was the Android king, namely – Huawei and Google’s flagships showed up and then there’s Oppo, Xiaomi, Sony, LG et al all vying for the non-iPhone shoppers. Samsung’s response? More, more and then some more.

The Note 10 is slimmer and smaller than the Note 9. It loses the headphone jack and the whole thing looks more symmetrical now the front facing camera is bang in the middle. It’s a shame the ToF camera doesn’t join the array as it does on the Note 10+. In many ways it’s a Galaxy S10 with a pen. But now that pen is also a Bluetooth controller as it was with the Note 9, yet it’s even more versatile. The fact the phone isn’t silly big and chunky like so many of the current flagships and previous Notes is a breath of fresh air and maybe, just maybe, more people will be drawn to the pen-toting, sharp-cornered beast of moderate proportions.
