How could I describe Note 10, an S10 with s-pen yes but no. Let's be clear, the 2 smartphones are quite similar except that NOTE 10 has an extra s-pen and the front camera is placed in the middle - I find that on the S10 and especially the S10+ where both cameras are placed, it was finally average...

The Galaxy Note 10 Lite is the basic version of the standard Note 10 launched back in August, 2019. Like the standard version, the Note 10 Lite also comes with a thin punch-hole display, kept just atop of the display.

A lot has changed since Samsung was the Android king, namely – Huawei and Google’s flagships showed up and then there’s Oppo, Xiaomi, Sony, LG et al all vying for the non-iPhone shoppers. Samsung’s response? More, more and then some more.

The Note 10 is slimmer and smaller than the Note 9. It loses the headphone jack and the whole thing looks more symmetrical now the front facing camera is bang in the middle. It’s a shame the ToF camera doesn’t join the array as it does on the Note 10+. In many ways it’s a Galaxy S10 with a pen. But now that pen is also a Bluetooth controller as it was with the Note 9, yet it’s even more versatile. The fact the phone isn’t silly big and chunky like so many of the current flagships and previous Notes is a breath of fresh air and maybe, just maybe, more people will be drawn to the pen-toting, sharp-cornered beast of moderate proportions.

This year, probably more than most, the Galaxy Note 10 appears to be a slightly remodelled Galaxy S10, complete with an S Pen. That’s no bad thing – the S10 is one of the best Android phones around – but it would have been nice to see Samsung push forward in areas where the S10 has fallen behind some of the competition; the camera is a good example. The display here is great. The design remains the best of any Android phone, and the functionality of the S Pen offers something you can’t get elsewhere. I also really like its slightly smaller form factor. However, the Plus model’s existence is likely to impact negatively on the Note 10. Samsung appears to be driving you towards purchasing the bigger model by restricting such features as expandable storage, screen resolution and camera quality in the Note 10.
