Good product for the price.

It's good for what i need it to do. However the step counter is a little off at times and heart rate sensor can be hard to use. The horizontal display takes some getting used to but I am overall happy with it.

Samsung Gear Fit Review: This Curvaceous Beauty is a Striking Fitness Tracker/Smartwatch Combo

The Samsung Gear Fit is a futuristic looking smartwatch that focuses on being a fitness band first and a smartwatch second. When it first appeared on the scene ...

Stunning curved display is bright, big and beautiful; Offers a unique design that is futuristic.

Proprietary charger; Reading emails is a little awkward on the display and not easy to manage; Software could use a more than a few tweaks to make it more intuitive.

A frequent argument voiced by SmartWatch critics is the running time. While classical watches will run for years with the same battery, their modern counterparts have to be charged relatively frequently. The supplied charging adapter must be connected to the bottom of the watch.

sharp display with very good color representation; low weight and high comfort; water and dust-proof; good battery life

pedometer has low accuracy; many functions can only be used with Samsung Smartphone nearby; integrated sleep monitoring only very rudimentary; bracelet too short

Smartwatches were slated to be the next big thing, however, after countless releases; they still haven't quite taken off just yet. Then on the other side of the spectrum, we have fitness bands, which are actually doing very well.

Comfortable; Nice and bright curved AMOLED display; Battery life; Easy to use; IP67 certified

Limited functionality; Accuracy; Narrow display is a little awkward; Charger

Samsung Gear Fit Smartwatch Review and Giveaway

Don't buy it. For some users access to health metrics and notifications in a $200 package is exactly what they're looking for. For the rest of us, buy a device dedicated to either one or the other.

Samsung has managed to put a smartwatch on my wrist, and I don't mind it – at least, I don't mind the feel of it. Unfortunately, while there's some appealing qualities to the Gear Fit , there's also a few aspects of Samsung 's $250 smartwatch that are a bit of a mess.

Microsoft Band vs Samsung Gear Fit comparison

For anyone with a Samsung smartphone, the Gear Fit is the best choice, but for everyone else we'd suggest looking elsewhere if you're hoping to buy a smartwatch or fitness tracker in the near future.

Samsung Gear Fit Review – a stylish accessory

With all of this in mind, we come to the most important question – would we buy the Samsung Gear Fit? The curved smartwatch definitely has a lot of appeal – the curved display look stylish on the wrist whilst viewing notifications and information is easy to adjust to.

The Gear Fit is a superbly designed wearable fitness band and watch, but it is somewhat limited by price and app issues. Smartwatches are one of those categories that, outside the very geeky, still sit in the "waiting to go mainstream" space.
