It's good for what i need it to do. However the step counter is a little off at times and heart rate sensor can be hard to use. The horizontal display takes some getting used to but I am overall happy with it.

Smartwatches were slated to be the next big thing, however, after countless releases; they still haven't quite taken off just yet. Then on the other side of the spectrum, we have fitness bands, which are actually doing very well.

Don't buy it. For some users access to health metrics and notifications in a $200 package is exactly what they're looking for. For the rest of us, buy a device dedicated to either one or the other.
Earlier this week at Mobile World Congress Samsung announced the all-new Gear Fit wearable smartband. Being one of three smartwatches announced, it joins the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo.
Samsung has managed to put a smartwatch on my wrist, and I don't mind it – at least, I don't mind the feel of it. Unfortunately, while there's some appealing qualities to the Gear Fit , there's also a few aspects of Samsung 's $250 smartwatch that are a bit of a mess.
For anyone with a Samsung smartphone, the Gear Fit is the best choice, but for everyone else we'd suggest looking elsewhere if you're hoping to buy a smartwatch or fitness tracker in the near future.
With all of this in mind, we come to the most important question – would we buy the Samsung Gear Fit? The curved smartwatch definitely has a lot of appeal – the curved display look stylish on the wrist whilst viewing notifications and information is easy to adjust to.
The Gear Fit is a superbly designed wearable fitness band and watch, but it is somewhat limited by price and app issues. Smartwatches are one of those categories that, outside the very geeky, still sit in the "waiting to go mainstream" space.
