Last year's Galaxy Buds were a bit of an also-ran, but a series of improvements have transformed these second generation versions into a front-runner, at least within their price bracket. The Galaxy Buds+ have few rivals under £160 that combine design, sound quality and battery life quite so effectively. Those seeking active noise cancellation would have to up their budget to Sony's WF-1000XM3s, while those chasing the best sound quality should consider the pricier Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless. For everyone else, however, these should be at the top of your list for true wireless in-ears - Apple Airpods included.

A solid pair of wireless in-ears. Sound is improved over their predecessors, while battery life is excellent. But don't shun other similar priced competitors, which will have the upper hand for some listeners.

The new Galaxy Buds+ are slightly smaller and glossier than their predecessors but don’t that size deceive you. In terms of their primary purpose, the new earbuds represent a nifty upgrade. They’re not better in every way but they are when it comes to what matters most.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds+ aren’t earbuds that you’re likely to be disappointed by but I’m not exactly recommending you rush out and buy them either.

The black case is a fingerprint magnet and it looks awful when it has fingerprints all over it, I do wish the EQ settings had a custom option

The earbuds are super amazing! It can be used as a single bud or two buds, either one is super clear! The taps on the earbuds are again super sensitive! The app – Galaxy Wear will allow you to adjust the sound settings to your phone/music buds.

This is my second pair as I lost the ones that came with my s20. I bought a cheap pair for the meantime and it just reinforced how good these ones are. The sound, the comfort, the overall quality and ease of use. Glad I bought the same ones again (except in blue to match my phone, woo)
