I bought this to replace the mechanical hard drive in my Mac Mini, which was horrifically slow and unresponsive. With this SSD, suddenly the computer is fast and actually usable. It's literally a night and day difference. It's almost as perceptibly fast as the NVMe SSD in my main PC.

Drive worth buying

I bought this drive few months back when it fell into my budget and to be honest it has shown a great performance increase. Even better performance increment than RAM upgrade. Now that the SSD prices are going down drastically, it is the right time to make switch from the traditional.

Inexpensive; Lightweight

Fast and Quiet

My local Office Max store where out of stock on these drives, so I had to special order one. And It sure was worth the week I had to wait for it. I downloaded the Samsung Migration software and the Magician driver software before installing the new drive to the PC.

almost effortless cloning; easy to use migration and driversoftware; inexpensive; fast and quiet

should have come with mounting screws

Samsung 860 Evo review

At close to three times the speed of spinning rust the SATA SSD also uses less power, is lighter, silent, and connects using a port that all desktop systems come with as standard.

Samsung 860 Evo Review

The Samsung 850 Evo has been a favourite SATA SSD for some time, smartly combining excellent performance with a great price. Now, Samsung is back with an updated version, the 860 Evo, which improves on the original and bumps up maximum storage to a whopping 4TB.

Huge choice of capacity; Well priced; Good all-round performance; Excellent endurance

Not that much faster than previous drive
