Since entering the SSD market Samsung have created some very impressive drives. In the early drives, when other manufacturers were struggling for reliability, they were seen as being industry leading on that front.

SSDs continue to drop in price, to the point that there's little excuse not to have one in your PC or laptop, but storage capacity remains a concern. Excellent price at puxma is and delivered promptly. Easy to fit into my MacBook pro. Not much data stored yet so difficult to tell if it makes the expected difference in performance though some benefit already

The 2.5" SATA versions of the 850 EVO will be available 'later this month (December)', with M.2 and mSATA versions coming 'next year'. The 840 EVO was a great launch and sold very well, but Samsung did not rest on their laurels.

When we sampled the previous generation 840 EVO from SAMSUNG we were very impressed. It was reasonably priced, had good encryption qualities and in stock format was also a very fast drive. Add RAPID technology and the drive became a performance beast.
