Bought this for a friend, he loves it.

We bought this toaster because it had good reviews, but it's useless... cooks toast totally unevenly - some parts fully cooked while others are still white.

We had the previous version which was great. This version: Using the setting on 1 out of 6 and it still burns toast Toasts to quick. So edge is over done, inner not done If you toast a slice of bread directly after another it burns as the toaster has too much residue heat. Going to see if I can return.

Perfectly adequate. Toasts will and very quickly. So reliable even if its not as flash as the top of the range toaster (different brand) which gave up after a few months. Im sure this one will last for years. Recommended for reliability.
