"everything they say it is"

I bought this for my son for Christmas, for several reasons. Main one being, he uses Cubase for his and my projects, and the p4 is geared so excellently to Cubase. Also, my son had done a lot of research via videos, reviews and the Nektar site to get a good understanding of the p4 before making his...

Rode NT1-A review

The Rode NT1-A is still a best seller for a reason. If you're looking for a good condenser mic to record vocals, this is a good choice whether you're upgrading to your first XLR microphone or replacing an old one in your studio.
Pros:
  • Cardioid polar pattern
  • Flat frequency response
  • Premium all-metal build quality
  • Low self-noise at just 5dB
  • Decently priced
Cons:
  • Sibilance issues mean you'll need a decent pop-filter
  • Requires another device to provide phantom power
  • Heavy due to all-metal body

Get Creative

Great over all mic for the price

This mic was the first mic I ever bought. 6 years later I still turn to this mic to give me the sound I'm looking for. Don't be fooled by the price tag. This mic is the quietest mic on the market and will provide you with exceptional quality.

Rode NT 1

I like the ease of use. I appreciate the excellent and faithful reproduction it produces...It records like a dream and, if placed properly can capture exactly what you want...It's well built but I wouldn't recommend tossing it down a flight of stairs...

The Rode Nt1a Large Conderser Microphone

Rode is legendary for its microphone . They are considered to be top of the line. But say you're like me, an upcoming artist on a budget. You want a microphone that competes with commercial studio quality. The nt1a from Rode is the mic for you. It only cost 200 dollars. The quality is superb.
