bad buy for me

I payed a lot for this microphone and all iv had from it is grief constant air piercing static making impossible to talk to my friends, and muffling making every word impossible to understand. iv checked all the websites, for drivers to make the microphone to work. it may work for other people but iv try'ed everything and it just keeps getting worse.

Very good mic but it really depends on the device you are connecting it to.

Using this mic with my 5 years old acer laptop often caused robotic noise issues. However, I recently changed my device to the newest Macbook and the mic is now working perfectly fine and the sound is very good. Overall, I am satisfied with the product but I don't recommend this mic to devices that are old.

As a podcaster the RODE NT-USB Mini USB Microphone is the perfect choice!

Becoming a podcaster: Being inexperienced with a USB microphone, and after much research on the net and YouTube, I purchased the Rode NT-USB at PB Tech in Hamilton. While in PB Tech on the day, a stranger - a sound expert - was also looking at microphones. He said to me that he would choose the Rode microphone. I followed his advice. To my utter delight - you just know that you have made a great decision - the sound of my voice was crisp and clear ringing from Audacity (free sound software) on my computer in my study the next day! If you don't want to pay an arm and a leg but still want outstanding quality, the Rode NT-USB is the right...view more

Rode NT-USB Mini Review

Rode delivers a no-nonsense USB mic with the NT-USB Mini, a compact, easy-to-operate $99 desktop model. Its fixed cardioid pattern is useful for recording vocals or instruments, and is also suitable for gaming, podcasting, and business calls. Some will find the lack of adjustable mic patterns and EQ/DSP modes to be limiting, but most professional mics lack these parameters as well. This means the NT-USB Mini will most likely appeal to those who are somewhat familiar with basic recording techniques and don't need too much help from DSP presets—there is no DSP on the audio signal itself, so those looking for a more pure mic signal will find the NT-USB Mini an appealing option. Design Measuring 5.6 by 2.1 by 1.8 inches (HWD), with a circular base that has a diameter of 3.5 inches, the black NT-USB Mini is a relatively compact USB microphone. On its front panel, there's a headphone volume knob, as well as two LEDs that tell you when the mic is powered via USB or when you're in zero-la...

The affordable Rode NT-USB Mini microphone doesn't boast the biggest feature set, but it delivers a clear, crisp, DSP-free signal in an easy-to-use design.

Crisp, clear, DSP-free mic signal; Zero-latency monitoring mode
