If there was ever a heroine in desperate need of a reboot it would have to be Lara Croft. The once quintessential female adventurer has found herself on a precipice by way of her last few incarnations and their failure to capture a significant audience.

Tomb Raider Reviewed
Tomb Raider kicks off with a bang. A violent storm has torn apart the ship Lara was aboard, The Endurance. After being washed ashore, Lara is attacked and wakes up hung upside down in a cave. These early scenes are important, as they show just how fragile Lara is at this stage.

Tomb Raider Xbox 360 Review
Crystal Dynamics has now been making Tomb Raider games longer than the original developer, Core Design, and their three previous offerings in the series, whilst nicely refined and well executed did little to shake up the formula that was first introduced all the way back in 1996.

Tomb Raider review
A brief lapse through the thunder opens, the silence shattered by a single gunshot, then another and another in rapid succession. A young woman's scream is barely heard above the howling, shearing wind.
Pros:
- Brutal combat
- stunning audio
- lighting
- particle effects
- excellent reboot
Cons:
- Hand holding icon hints a pain
- multiplayer is instantly forgettable

Tomb Raider Review
Lara Croft has always been seen as a tough female icon for the games industry. People everywhere loved her, so much so that she spawned two mediocre Hollywood films and even starred in a Lucozade advert in the mid '90s.

Tomb Raider
A whole new Lara Croft, a beautiful new world to explore and so much more excitement to be had.
Pros:
- Progressive difficulty makes it easy to keep up
- beautiful environments
- awesome musical accompaniment
- nonstop action sequences
- excellent checkpoint system
- manageable puzzles
- an actual in game reason to collect the collectibles
- great story that just doesn't stop
- awesomely gory death scenes...
Cons:
- Glitches that caused unnecessary deaths
- somewhat inconsistent AI
- skills that are almost useless unless taken early in the game
- some fights more frustrating than they should be
- Tomb Raider themed dreams every night I've played it

Tomb Raider
Whenever a beloved gaming franchise gets the reboot treatment, it's always a tentative time for the diehard fans. Sometimes the payoff is entirely worth it; you only need to look at great games like Fallout 3, XCOM: Enemy Unknown and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow to know that putting a modern spin on...

Game Review: Tomb Raider [Xbox360/PS3/PC]
There aren't many games I've played where I have to pause and remember to breathe, yet on the other hand I have also experienced some gaming shocks that have reduced me to tears or fits of anger.

Absolutely Amazing
This was the first Tomb Raider game I even played and I'm afraid that it has ruined all previous ones for me. Unless the previous games also included all the equipment and skills that this one did i doubt that I'll ever touch them. The story is amazing and is supposed to be based off an actual myth.

Tomb Raider Review
It has taken a long time, but Tomb Raider has finally grown up. The series has made a name for itself in the past by flaunting its juvenile male fantasies, and decent gameplay was always marred by main character Lara Croft's disproportionate appearance and focus on her form over function.
Pros:
- ● Excellent storytelling ● Lara is more interesting than ever before ● Great visuals ● Open world is great
- if a bit too quiet
Cons:
- First act is too hand-holdey ● Multiplayer is average
