Rise of the Argonauts arrives just in time to give gamers one last blockbuster game before Christmas 2008. The title is a combination of role-playing and action as players retell one of the greatest mythological epics of all time, Jason and the Golden Fleece.
Codemasters' Rise Of The Argonauts is an action/rpg set in ancient Greece where you will embark on an epic quest, and encounter legendary figures such as Jason, Hercules and Atalanta.
Thanks a lot
Graphics are rather dated in places and the game play involves a great deal of running from one place to another. The combat is actually rather easy and there was only one difficult fight in the entire game (for me anyway).
Rise of the Argonauts was fun to play but was not very hard. Some good things were the inteactable storyline where you can choose responses and ask questions, nice locations to play through and a battle system that is easily picked up and can string together some nice moves.
Rise of the Argonauts
Rise of the Argonauts can be quickly summarized as an RPG God of War . At least, that is the initial impression you would get. Here, we have a great Greek hero on a quest, receiving various powers from gods and leaving a path of destruction in his wake.
The combination of RPG with the action-genre isn't new but hasn't always delivered good games. Rise of the Argonauts tries to blend both genres again in the hopes of delivering a top title.
Never judge a book by its cover These days, with lazy movie tie ins and sequels being the main stay for games, first impressions are normally spot on. However From time to time the first impression of a game can be wrong. And so it was with Rise of the Argonauts.
Good Story; Fun
Poor graphics and voice acting; A bit slow
