The Ricoh WG-M1 is an action camera that's capable of recording full HD video (1280 x 960 pixels), which are captured at a 137-degree ultra-wide angle of view. Although primarily designed to capture video, it's also possible to record stills.
Easy to use, made well, and it's priced right! Capable of shooting still photos as well as video. Small enough to fit in your front pocket.

Camera has no zoom or focus options like a standard point and shoot
I'm still getting used to it, but it's a fun little camera. The interface is a bit confusing (but necessary due to the size and space for buttons.) The test videos I took show a proclivity for flares and ghosting (due to the ultra-wide angle.) The quality from them, otherwise, is suitable.
Ergonomics; size; layout; weight; shape; waterproof out of the box
Interface; susceptability to flare and ghosting
I like it more now than when I first got it. I think I had higher expectations or imagined that this had different features. As I get to know it better I like it more. I would buy it again.
I found myself a used version which is like new. I am not an action man nor am I into video so why might I buy this type of camera On the basis that the sensor is the old CX size and it does have a proper lens in there it might be a really rugged prime lensed camera 1/2.3" 14mp, to 800 auto ISO.
The camera seems great - put it in the sea this afternoon! BUT... leaving this review if it sways you:If you've got an up-to-date Android phone running the latest OS, Lollipop - the app, called WG-M1 by Ricoh... Isn't compatible or available!
(1). i loved the product. (2). i wish to buy it, if the price be a bit less.
this camera competes with the GoPro and alike. With Pentax/Ricoh being in the camera business for years (much longer than GoPro or their cheaper knockoffs), I expected a decent picture quality, especially with the 14MP sensor for stills and the 1080p video modes.
Has A Display; Orange
Sub Par Picture Quality; Too expensive
For some reason, I never liked the Go-Pro - in spite of the fact that I read all my camera manuals and know every single feature, I had a hard time figuring out the Go-Pro. Then I found this camera. Great price, easy to use. And ... has a screen.
Durable; Easy To Use; Highly Compatible; Lightweight; Produces High Quality Film
