Xbox One Review - 'Resident Evil 7: Biohazard'
Buy Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is terrifying for roughly the first 40 minutes. In the 10 to 12 hours that follow, you become a little less scared and more energized as you're reminded of what made this series so enjoyable when it crawled onto screens 20 years ago.

demo shows promise
I just played the demo and it's creepy to say the Least. Although I don't think we care for the first person view, this game has you looking over your shoulder at all times. It is kind of interesting though.

"Perfect"
I bought it for my partner for valentines and he said it was so terrifying and he was so scared he snapped twitch because he needed some happy safe vibes. So I am impressed! And glad this was my choice!

Great looking game...but not great for me
I love the Resident Evil games but it's been awhile since I played one (RE4 on Gamecube was the last one) and now with the game playing as if it's you walking around instead of watching a character move on screen (okay and maybe my age has a little to do with it now along with my need of glasses) I...

Best RE game yet!
Ok, look--I'm not gonna sugar coat it. RE7 gets kinda gory and graphic, but mostly in the early scenes. I wouldn't let my 7 year old play it unless he/she was pretty emotionally resilient. More than other RE games, I found 7 to be more anxiety-inducing than traditionally "scary".

Few gaming series are able to keep themselves relevant for over 20 years, but Capcom has done just that with Resident Evil. This is largely due to the series evolving over time, and the ability to switch things up once the formula has gone stale.
Pros:
- Innovative use of found footage
- Stellar boss fights
- First third of the game is brilliant
Cons:
- Fresh ideas are dropped midway
- Poor puzzles and dated item management return
- Later areas are boring
