The Razer Hammerhead Pro V2 delivers in the gaming arena and gives acceptable music performance, if a little bass-heavy.

Great during gaming; Comfortable; Great for bass-heavy music; Acceptable for non-bass-heavy music; Durable cords; Phone answering; Omnidirectional microphone; In-line remote

Bass a little heavy; Noise cancellation was lacking

Razer Kraken Pro V2 Gaming Headset Review

The is a well built, great-sounding gaming headset at a price that seems just about right. It's much better than a bargain bin headset but won't necessarily blow your mind. The ear cushions are comfortable, even when worn over glasses, but tend to get hot, and the retractable mic is slick.

Razer Kraken Pro V2 Review: A Slick, No-Frills Headset

I always admire gadgets that have a single purpose and excel at it, and the Razer Kraken Pro V2 is absolutely one of those products. This headset makes no bones about being a competitive gaming peripheral, with a no-frills design that focuses on comfort and durability above all else.

Simple; sturdy design; Lightweight and comfortable; Impressive overall sound; Handy inline remote and extension cable

Ear cups take some adjustment; Low microphone volume

Good quality headphones

These are a solid, comfortable set of headphones. The sound quality is good as is the mic which is easily adjustable, everyone can hear me now which wasn't always the case with other headsets

After having horrible experiences with the razer Dva head set I thought I would give these a try. But I was once again let down, because they do NOTHING but echo. Very disappointed as I have spent almost $200 on headsets with the razer company. I will never use them for any headset in the future.

Razer Kraken Pro V2 Review

The Kraken Pro V2 is Razer's follow-up to its straightforward wired Kraken Pro gaming headset. Besides a slightly less bulky design, this new model is very similar to the original, down to the same $79.99 price tag. It sounds great despite some weak treble response, and stands as a very solid, comfortable gaming headset for a reasonable price. Design The Kraken Pro V2 looks very much like the Razer ManO'War ( at Amazon) , only wired and without the colored lighting. It's available in black, green, or white versions, each of which has a circular earcup design with a wide ring of metal speaker grille-like material surrounding a flat circle bearing the Razer logo. The earpads are also circular, made of memory foam covered by black faux leather. The earcups are mounted on metal rings that let them pivot up and down slightly, and the rings flow seamlessly into the metal of the headband. The top of the headband is wrapped in the same black faux leather, and the underside is covered in ...

The Razer Kraken Pro V2 is a well-designed, comfortable wired gaming headset with a reasonable price tag.

Plush ear padding for comfortable fit; Nicely sculpted sound with good low-mid presence

Slightly weak treble response

Razer Hammerhead Pro V2

While Razer considers its $69.99 Hammerhead Pro V2 a gaming headset, it doesn't quite fit the familiar mold. Most gaming headsets are simply over- or on-ear headphones with boom microphones.

Powerful, sculpted audio good for both games and music; Generous amount of accessories for the price

In-line microphone suffers from cable thump; can't replace the boom on a conventional gaming headset
