I must admit that I was really looking forward to testing out the Razer Tiamat 7.1 headset because as far as features go, the Tiamat has the lot. TRUE 7.1 Surround Sound with 5 drivers per ear-cup, Noise-filtering microphone and a control box that puts all others to shame.

Razer Tiamat 7.1 gives a full blown experience to hardcore gamers who want to fully utilise their expensive 7.1 sound card to the max. The design of the headset is sleek, sturdy, and also comfortable for hours of gaming.

You get what you pay for, 333: - at Elgiganten, there is nothing to complain about for that price. Comfortable and good sound, the mic is also well approved!

When I think of the name Tiamat, I think of the dragon from the Dungeons and Dragons TV show. The beastly and deadly dragon was a sight to behold and was awe inspiring when I was a child.

!!PRODUCT ADVISORY!! You do have to fine-tune the headset first in order to get full 3D sound. You can do this through your system sound settings for [headset] playback devices. This may take several attempts but will work fine after you find your proper settings.

These were a 3/5 at first. These are over ear headphones however I must have larger ears. The cups go around my ears just fine but the inside was pushing against the helix of my ear (the top hard part of the ear). That made these start hurting after about 10 minutes of use.

Sitting on the cheaper side of Razer's growing range of gaming headsets, the Razer Electra V2 isn't exactly a hallmark of quality. Nevertheless, it delivers a surprisingly robust audio experience for the price.
