If you are an enthusiast and loathe the soft-press of the membrane key switch found in the inexpensive keyboards that form a part of the configuration of most PCs today, then read further to know whether the Blackwidow Ultimate is the right choice for you.
The hardware is all as it should be, but a few cosmetic design flaws put this keyboard with potential down on the typing and gaming food chain.

Well, the tide, as they say, has turned. We're seriously thinking about taking our loved, key-worn and remarkably trustworthy Microsoft X6 keyboard and replacing it with a new, shiny, and oh so responsive Black Widow.
The Final Word: The responsiveness of the keyboard and its efficient behavior is more than satisfying, extending an almost excellent experience. Its 1000Hz polling rate engineers accuracy into gaming actions while the other features add to the overall result.
Besides of all I had pointed out in my review, this keyboard is by far one of the best I've used in years and would recommend to anyone who's willing to spend under $150 for a high end and super responsive keyboard that both looks good and feels good.

I saw this keyboard on the shelf hovering just above the price tag and shook my head thinking "who would pay this for a keyboard"? I picked it up and the arrow keys were exposed through the box so that you could feel what the mechanical click feels like.

I kind of miss the dedicated media buttons; but I'm getting used to the Function keys
Thia keyboard not only look perfect, it is actually the perfect mechanical keyboard if you are on a budget!

About one week into using the keyboard, the back plastic clip on the left side of the space bar started popping out of place when I pressed the right side of the space bar. It happened four times before I switched it out for my old keyboard.
