It's tempting to call Ratchet & Clank a return to form for Insomniac Games' venerated platformer, but in truth, it never really fell out of form. It's just been awhile since our last proper blockbuster entry.

There is a lot to love in Ratchet and Clank, but it also comes with its fair share of headaches. Levels are short and linear, and leave little desire to stay on them any longer than you have to. While weapons are interesting and unique, they often come with the added weight of being hard to aim.

On top of the stunning art direction and gameplay refinements, fans can look forward to fresh Clank-starring content, new flying sequences, additional boss encounters, and an addictive collectible trading card game. But they're all merely nice extras to what are the main attractions here: beautiful gameplay matched with gorgeous graphics. Relatively early in the game, Ratchet arrives at a destination he'd always dreamed of reaching and exclaims “I’ve died and gone to nerd heaven!” After playing through Ratchet & Clank, you'll know exactly how he feels.

Highest production platformer on ps4. Voice acting, story, humour, visuals, gameplay all perfection for ps4 standards. Great all ages fun. Destructive mayhem without the brutality of realistic games. Platforming wise it's too easy. Do not play expecting challenging traversal. There is none. I wish there was difficult platforming but it isn't designed into the game. Play game on hard as enemies are only really a challenge at hardest difficulty. Buy this game it's amazing. Buy it. it's a good budget price for its 10 hour or so length

Top 5 R&C game and one of the best exclusives, if not the best on PS4

The game is great but too short for my liking! If the game had a little bit more it would have been 4–5 stars, still recommend to you all!

While this game might only be 10–12 Hours long Story wise I have already played through the game 3–4 times wanting to Fully complete it. I enjoy it more than any other PS4 game so far as it takes me back to the original Ratchet and Clank games and how much I enjoyed playing them too

This game is such a great remake of the first ratchet and clank and did everything as expected and more. Great overall game, with lots to explore.

Use to play Ratchet & Clank on the PS2 when I had hair no the top of my head and it’s still as fun as I remember. Game play is reasonably simple and not over complicated. The dialogue and storyline is fun without being too over the top. It’s just a good overall game to pick up and waste a bit of time on.

Played roughly half of game, really enjoying it. After Mrs. Zurkon boss glitch appeared, unable to advance. Turns out that this was a long standing issue that Insomniac was aware of based on search. Waste of time.
