We've seen TV series' based on games before, although we've never had a TV series inside a game before, until now. Quantum Break is exactly that, a combination of a game and a TV show and, what‘s more, some of the decisions you make in the game affects the story in both the game and live action...

Quantum Break is an innovative hybrid TV show/game from Remedy Entertainment and Microsoft Studios. Remedy is responsible for such hits as Max Payne and Alan Wake and they've brought a lot of what's good about those games to Quantum Break . The cast is amazing.

The launch of Quantum Break - the first ever title shown for Xbox One - is finally here. It's the story of Jack Joyce (played by Shawn Ashmore) and his best friend Paul Serene (played by Aidan Gillen), caught on opposite sides of a fracture in time that threatens to bring about the end of time.

It's come full circle. Remedy has always had a love affair with the physics of time. They popularised bullet time with Max Payne and when they moved over to Alan Wake it came to light that they also had a good cinematic flair (or is that flare?). So, what happens if you combine the two?

I'm a really big fan of Remedy's games, but I feel slightly let down by Quantum Break. Not an awful game by any stretch of the imagination, but the gameplay is really formulaic and the gunfights are uninspired.

I was reserved about QB because of all the disasters I had heard of previous TV show/Movie games, but once I got my hands on this and started playing, I really got sucked into the story.

Well, you have to give Remedy credit for the vision. A time travel adventure that hands you extraordinary powers, as well as the opportunity to steer the story down different avenues; including for the live-action TV series thrown in as part of the package.

Quantum Break is an action-packed, time-shifting adventure whose traditional gameplay is outpaced by its ambitious storytelling. It starts off slow with muted, perfunctory opening acts that don't revel in the what-ifs of time travel so much as struggle to wrestle numerous storylines and characters...
