Really good racing game very difficult to master not for the casual racer

I bought Project cars for my simulator setup for serious gaming. I had couple of problems installing it but managed. The game looks great but has a lot of room for improvement. The interface takes a bit to get used to. Since the game engine is taken from shift 2 it has some arcadish feel.

Could use a little more polish

Where can the racing sim go that it hasn't already gone? What new ideas can be presented in a genre bound by realism? We've perfected the mechanics, and the technical leaps are getting smaller and smaller by the year.
