Project CARS 2 PC Review

The first Project CARS had a fascinating history behind it. The team at Slightly Mad Studios, who were previously known for the Need for Speed: Shift series, decided to take their ambition and fund a racing game through their own money along with the funds raised by the community supporting them.

Project Cars 2 review

Tim pulls out his trusty wheel setup for Project Cars 2, a sim so serious you can smell the burnt rubber.

A through-and-through simulation of motorsport; Amazingly realistic handling model brings uniqueness to every vehicle; Weather that not only looks pretty but impacts the cars and tracks significantly; Impressive track roster

AI difficulty is a complete crapshoot; Bugs, and lots of them

Project Cars 2 Review

Project Cars 2 is the second game of its name from Slightly Mad Studios, and is unique in offering such a wide variety of motorsports and vehicles across a host of different locations as an authentically simulated racing game.

Project CARS 2 review – racing mad

The smash hit crowdfunded driving game returns, with more cars, more tracks, and the most realistic weather system ever seen.

The attention to detail in terms of the cars, tracks, and physics is superb; Fantastic weather effects and a huge range different race disciplines; Robust set of online options

The handling model is still a little loose, especially on joypads; Highly inconsistent artificial intelligence that's often either super competent or barely able to drive

Beautiful visuals; Packed out with game modes; A huge catalogue of tracks and cars; Dynamic Weather Effects work great

Frustratingly buggy in certain scenarios; Difficult learning curve that may put of people unfamiliar with the franchise
