PES 2017 Review

When it comes to the subject of sports, there are few that hold the weight of interest in the way soccer does. Football or, should I say, fùtbol, is unequivocally the sporting world's common meeting place. Of course from region to region, fan experiences will vary, especially in places like the U.S.

Strong gameplay that rivals FIFA; Steadily improving franchise; Great physics and graphics; Messi

Random bouts with AI players; Messi

THE best "game" i have ever played in my whole life. the gran turismo of football games, pes 2017 is quite something. pes 2016 was beautiful but 2017 is even better, smoother, sexier, classier.

PES 2017 Review

With smarter AI opposition and an altogether smoother online experience, is close to the complete package. FIFA's new story mode might be the most headline-grabbing feature of either game this year, but it's clear Konami is in no mood to relinquish its title as king of the virtual pitch.

Feels amazing to play; Different tactics and styles make a difference; Player ID makes players feel unique and genuine; Improvements to referees; goalkeepers and Master League

Cursor issues; Shooting aiming can be off; Not a massive selection of teams; Jim Beglin and Peter Drury

Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 Review – Goaaaaaal! (PS4)

Despite all the time I've spent with soccer games over the years, I've never been great at Konami's Pro Soccer Evolution games. Electronic Arts' FIFA series has always felt more welcoming to me, so I typically stuck with that as my main way to play digital soccer.

Fun mini-games that serve as a tutorial; Master League is phenomenal; Many difficulty levels

Occasionally bad animation; The lack of licenses causes confusion; Auto-save is turned off by default

Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 Review

There was a time when Pro Evolution Soccer was my go-to football game, spanning the early to late 2000s from school through to university. There was no doubt that Konami ruled the genre through the series, especially during the PS2 era, but their crown slipped on the last generation and, just like...

Players and teams have their own styles of play; Really responsive controls; Looks great; Become A Legend is a good career mode

MyClub needs more refinement to compete; Some harsh lag online; Headers are too easy to score or concede with
