Game Review: Pro Evolution Soccer 2017

The latest annual release for the Pro Evolution Soccer is here with PES 2017 . Since its introduction to the series on new-gen with the 2014 instalment, the Fox Engine has been pivotal in going from strength to strength and PES 2017 is no exception.

Back to its glory heyday of sublime gameplay; Goalkeepers are actually much improved this time; Some truly uncanny likenesses; Less clutter and better presented menus; MyClub is been simplified for the better

Lack of licenses again; but there is a superb work around (in review; Not so great commentary (again

Best footy game out there.

A brilliant game . Gameplay is sublime. Better than FIFA. Check national reviews. You can get option file for all the proper kits free. A joy to play. Last years game was good but this is on another level. Buy it.

Warming up...

Soccer is upon us. Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 has arrived, with FIFA trailing close behind. And, perhaps most visibly of all, the clattering circus of the soccer season itself--which both FIFA and PES must increasingly reflect and celebrate in order to stay relevant--has emerged from summer...

Gameplay is the best it's been in years; Player likenesses are superb; myClub has been knocked into decent shape

Individual team licensing highlights wider inauthenticity; Defending can be clumsy; Online is plagued with connection issues

PES 2017 review

Online or offline, PES 2017 is simply a wonderful football gameplay experience - the kind of which this generation of consoles has been waiting for. The presentation issues are, as always a pain, but that all simply melts away when the first whistle blows.

PES 2017

Last year's PES offering from Konami was superb. If it wasn't for a lack of licensing, I would have recommended it over FIFA 16. As such, the bar for PES 2017 was set pretty high, especially so as the demo for the game showed great promise.

Great on-field gameplay; Adaptive AI spot on; Players look and move well

Managerial mode awash with excess info; Lack of licensing still an issue

It's about time somebody just came out and said it… With PES 2017 , Konami has finally caught up to FIFA and shut the door behind it. With that said, PES is still plagued by familiar licensing issues and while Konami is slowing building its resume to include the likes of Barcelona, Borussia...
