At first glance, Prince of Persia is easily the most eye-catching game of 2008. There were games with more anticipation – Metal Gear Solid 4, Gears of War 2 or Grand Theft Auto IV - but they had a built-in fan base with characters that are recognizable the instant that you see them.

THE VERDICT: Amazing controls, realistic, vibrant and super impressive graphics, ambient sound as well as some thrilling music, combined with innovative ideas and innovative puzzle, time-orientated gameplay. You can unlock both POP 1 and 2! This game is a gem by any measure.

The game has an incredible atmosphere (in fact it is like being in a fairy tale), a great playability (I played it with the keyboard, but you can use a joypad as well) and a fantastic...

Bought for husband, who didn't (really) want it. Good job wives take no notice - we know what husbands like. Took him a while to decide to load it up, but now he thinks it's great. Makes a change from all those Halo games !

If you like the other Prince of Persia games, you'll love the Forgotten Sands. The same running on walls and turning back time that you are used to...

What is it? Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (or PoP4 as it will be henceforth known), is an action-adventure, set in an Arabian environment.

Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Or in this case, Prince of Persia or ICO ? Looking at the question from a purely objective standpoint, Jordan Mechner's original take on the Prince clearly came first, but the matter isn't as simple as that.
