I guess you can say while I enjoy all flavors of gaming, I am primarily a coffee and donuts gamer. What can I say? Open-ended gameplay is nice, but I like linearity, when done properly. I like a good ol' fashioned dungeon crawl.

Jordan Mechner's classic action-adventure game Prince of Persia was a resounding success and managed to be ported to all kinds of computers and consoles back in the late 80's and early 90's.

What is it? Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (or PoP4 as it will be henceforth known), is an action-adventure, set in an Arabian environment.

Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Or in this case, Prince of Persia or ICO ? Looking at the question from a purely objective standpoint, Jordan Mechner's original take on the Prince clearly came first, but the matter isn't as simple as that.

A masterful update of a superlative platform-hopping classic. Prince of Persia: Sands of Time delivers richness and depth both visually and technically.

THE VERDICT: Amazing controls, realistic, vibrant and super impressive graphics, ambient sound as well as some thrilling music, combined with innovative ideas and innovative puzzle, time-orientated gameplay. You can unlock both POP 1 and 2! This game is a gem by any measure.
