Once you install all of the automatic updates, this game plays wonderfully. It is similar to the latest "Patrician", but more intuitive then Patrician ever was. It has nearly three times the number of cities to trade with and a better trading mechanics to keep you from having to memorize the optimum...

So far disappointed

I am a huge Port Royale fan, and I was very eagerly awaiting this version.. so far I am not impressed. The only plus I can say this game has over Port Royale 2 is the multiplayer mode. Aside from the bugs.

Great graphics Faster moving menus 4 player multi-player games for both online and Lan Male / Female character (although in name only) I love the Port Royale Series; but they have have some serious patching to do before I honestly recommend this game.

No Game Map unless you by the German Collectors edition; (A PDF map would have been nice) Menu selections are very limited and lacking in options; LAN play mode is broken.; tells the other players that they already exist in the game and boots them; BUGS!!

Completely awful and unplayable. No matter what I did pirates kept attacking me and I could never get ahead. Pirates were way to strong, and only got stronger. Took what could have been a great game and ruined it. I want my money back.

missing key

won't find out how good it is as I didn't have a product key to launch the game. Since the game cannot be played without it, I am left disappointed. I sent an email about it and I was granted a full refund, which is why I still gave it two stars rather than a solitary one.
