My office switched to voice over the internet and bought this phone for everyone because of all its wonderful features. I agree that some of the features are nice, but as a telephone it is terrible. The problem is not with the sound quality, which is OK, it is with the time lag.

This is network device, and works great with Lync in areas were a PC isnt viable. However they are quite expensive. But the sound quality is fantastic. Also beware of DHCP settings on your server when setting up.
