Polar isn't short of know-how when it comes to sports watches; its M400 GPS Running Watch was one of our all-time favourites. The M600 is altogether a different wrist-based wearable.

The explosion of smartwatches and fitness trackers has thrown up some real gems and thrown down some real turds, leaving us all to step carefully when choosing a new device. Polar is an established name in fitness devices, one of the oldest, perhaps, when dealing with heart rate monitoring.

Great little android wear. Pros and cons (in my opinion): Pros - Nice, clear and vibrant display. - Works with swimming. - Unit is removable from strap, and it can be changed out and cleaned properly. - Polar has a great app that syncs with other things like Strave, useful.

Excellent device. The band is soft and comfortable for all day use. Using with iOS. Short battery life requires nightly charging. Ok once you get in the habit. Features are excellent and the HR monitor works much better than other wrist base devices for tracking sport performance.

Whether you're working off last night's takeaway, trying to outrun middle age on a treadmill, or lifting weights in front of a mirror like a preening peacock, you're basically just a sweaty mess.

Android Wear has had somewhat of an up and down year this year, the majority of the ‘usual' Android OEMs haven't released new models, but on the up side new manufacturers have filled the void.

The M600 is probably one of the most unique products that Polar has made in a long time. It's also one that's clearly pushed them outside of their comfort zone, and I say that in a good way.

Bought this instead of a Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro, where the GPS barely works ... What a difference ... GPS locks fast, the statistics seem to be fine. Polar's "Flow" app and website provide a good overview of the training. It uses it as a lock-in, and it does it with a goodbye.
