I did not play this game personally, but looking at my twin daughters' faces, I must say yes. It's a 5-star game.

A Pokémon fighting game may not seem like the most obvious spin-off idea, but the end result is a surprisingly fun and inventive multiplayer game.

The unholy lovechild of Tekken and Pokémon , Pokkén Tournament caused quite a stir when it was first announced, yet Bandai Namco's one-on-one fighter exceeded expectations when it eventually arrived on the Wii U last year following a successful run in arcades.

So this games story mode was great. My friend and I were literally up all night fighting. Once I beat the game (few weeks after) it got a bit tedious. The online aspect was completely broken, but I've started playing again now it's fixed.

I bought this for my nephew's birthday on 11th February. He loves it and has played it every day since.

This game is great. If you already own it on the Wii U it's not worth it to pick it up for the minor changes I'm sure, but if you are looking for an easy to get into fighting game for the switch I recommend it.
