Poor connection

After only a few uses the connection became loose. Bascially the audio jack has a volume dial where the jack connects in to devices. This is very tempremental and I lose sound in the right ear almost constantly meaning I have to keep fiddling with the audio wheel and adjusting the audio jack to get...

Plantronics RIG 500 Pro Esports Edition

It's a bit pricey at $150, though, and it doesn't have quite the luxurious feel and powerful audio performance of the slightly more expensive Turtle Beach Elite Pro Tournament Headset .

Lightweight, comfortable fit; Clever audio cable; Good microphone; Balanced audio performance

Doesn't feel quite as solid or luxurious as its price would indicate

When it comes to gaming headphones, Plantronics haven't always triumphed. But they have always had one specific, practical, edge over their competition: design.

Great price; RIG Dial is really cool

Limited Dolby Atmos support; Wish noise-cancelling was better

Low quality

I bought probably a month ago and after about a week it started to have constant echo and crackling noises that cannot be fixed.

Plantronics Rig 500 Pro Esports Headset Review

For most humans, opening up a new gadget has to be a highlight of their day. Ok, it's not up there with discovering fire, positing gravitational theory or feeding and clothing your family, but it feels pretty good.

Excellent sound output; Strong build quality; Dolby Atmos activation included; Excellent sound output; Strong build quality; Dolby Atmos activation included

Leatherette ear cushions are noticeably warm; No Dolby Atmos supports for PS4 or Switch

A sound headset surrounding the competition - Plantronics RIG 500 PRO review

Plantronics have always been pioneers when it comes to the quality and features of their headsets. The RIG 500 series, released last year, was the first series of headsets to include Dolby Atmos activation codes, taking advantage of the Xbox One's support of the service.

Comfortable; modular ear cushions; Convenient audio dial that plugs into the controller; Esports edition is highly durable

Audio dial only locks in at max volume
